heatless
This is day two of no heat. Our boiler stopped working. Mendel tried his best to get it roaring again, but alas, no heat. Hopefully it will be back up and running on Tuesday.
It’s actually not bad - we’re all just wearing extra layers. It’s like being back in VT, but without the wood stove. And we do have hot water!
Speaking of VT - Kathy and Larry brought us a tree all the way from VT. I strung up the lights and we started decorating last night. It’s Joe’s first Christmas tree!
Here is where we left off - we’ll finish up today:
Yesterday Mendel silenced the creaky stairs. They still creak a little, which is a good thing - Mel and I need the noise to let us know when someone is coming up.
Larry/Pops has an ongoing project up in the art room - every time he’s here he scrapes a little more of the paint from the glass panes on the door:
Today Mel is going to bake cookies! I found some more plate-less outlets, so I’ve got to get on top of that.
